Huff Po attempts to Swift-boat McCain

Full article here

Some of the unreleased pages in McCain's Navy file may not reflect well upon his qualifications for the presidency. From day one in the Navy, McCain screwed-up again and again, only to be forgiven because his father and grandfather were four-star admirals. McCain's sense of entitlement to privileged treatment bears an eerie resemblance to George W. Bush's.

Privileged treatment? It seems ludicrous, absolutely ludicrous, for anyone to question McCain's sense of entitlement after he endured years of torture and abuse at the hands of the North Vietnamese, during which time John F. Kerry was safe at home tossing medals over walls and leading anti-war protests. McCain refused early release or to be treated any better than any other POW simply because his father was an admiral. Shame on Jeffrey Klein and shame on Huffington Post. Go read "Faith of My Fathers" or spend a few days as a POW in a Communist country before you spew more such garbage.

But Huffington Post published RFK Jr.'s piece saying Governor Haley Barbour and the state of Mississippi deserved Hurricane Katrina because the governor doubted global warming was real.

In 1998, Republican icon Pat Robertson warned that hurricanes were likely to hit communities that offended God. Perhaps it was Barbour’s memo that caused Katrina, at the last moment, to spare New Orleans and save its worst flailings for the Mississippi coast. [UPDATE: Alas, the reprieve for New Orleans was only temporary. But Haley Barbour still has much to answer for.]

So we really shouldn't be surprised to see such filth from the Huffington Post.

UPDATE: William Teach at McCain Blogs referenced my post and lambasts Huff Po for their unwarranted attack on McCain's military record.
